A record of our adventures between Pipit and her successor...
#1
Since our last update progress has been steady - windows & doors are in, electrical & plumbing first fix is nearly complete and we've made lots of decisions - lots of decisions... We now know what tiles & timber flooring we're going to have, kitchen & bathroom designs and specifications have been finalised, larch cladding has been chosen, the staircase has been designed and we've decided which electrical sockets we're having - it's funny how seemingly mundane issues take on a great significance and many hours are spent researching & deliberating. Anyway, no cranes, lorries or machinery but a brief pictorial nosegay of recent progress:
Precision work lifting circa 1/4 of a tonne
Very neat
Unlike many slightly larger yachts we didn't have a plant room on Pipit, but perhaps this could be my favourite room...
...or this one...
...but probably the one at the far end...
Next on the agenda is cladding & rendering to be completed, plasterboarding, floor insulation & underfloor heating pipes to be installed and services to be brought in from the entrance to the house - more digging required...
Meanwhile, Happy Christmas & best wishes for the New Year.
#2 - there are in fact two hedgehogs on this one...
